I
thank God everyday for being born in this great country of ours. I love Texas.
And no matter where I go, the outdoors means the same. This site helps me share
my love of the outdoors. I hope it is enjoyed by those who come across
it.
"Notches"
Looking forward to a great season this year. Every
season is a great one and none are dependant on taking a deer. Spending time
with my children tops the list. Enjoying the outdoors and taking in all God has
provided are also among the joys of hunting. Perhaps this year I can provide a
new picture to share. Until then, happy and safe hunting to you all.

Texas Parks
and Wildlife
Teaching hunter education for Texas Parks and Wildlife
has become a part of my life now. It also has gave me an chance to learn new
things. I have gotten certifications on tree stand stand safety, wounding loss
prevention and more. If you are intrested in becoming a volunteer teacher, go
to the
Texas Parks and Wildlife webiste.

things. One of my collections is of state patches for Hunter Education and
Bowhunter Education. Want to see if I have your state represented? Or do you
have something I don't?

My
Cancer
For most of the past 30 years I
have been loyal to a certain brand of smokeless tobacco. When I started in the
ninth grade, there were no rules on ages for buying it. I even won a trip to
the Daytona 500 from the parent company in 1989. In September of 2005 I was
diagnosed with cancer. Squamous Cell Carcinoma. It resided on the inside of my
right cheek. I have started a new program called
TrashYourCan.Org and
hope to reach kids and adults to let them know the possible dangers of
dipping/chewing.

This is my first Rio Grande turkey. This turkey hunt was
very memorable for me. Hunting to me is a link to the past as well as a look
into the future. Click here for my story and pictures
of this hunt.
